Local musician Emily Ann Thompson will visit the Westfield Washington Public Library to perform her Celtic music in a free concert on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 6:00 PM.From fast, high-energy jigs and reels to captivating airs and ballads, Emily’s performance is lively, passionate, and homegrown with an American flare. Drawing from a wide variety of world music styles, she plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Canadian fiddle tunes in fresh, original arrangements.
She also incorporates English and Gaelic singing as well as banjo into the mix. She is joined by her husband Kelly on guitar, percussion, and vocals.
